Motorcycle Repair: 05 harley ultra classic cruise control problem, classic cruise, sensers

Question
QUESTION: when you turn the switch on for the cruise control--the switch lights up indicating that the cruise is "on"--but it will not engage with a green light when I am up to speed and hit the switch on the handlebar.
Any ideas?--it HAS been working fine

ANSWER: What you need to do is see if you have power going to the switch and away from the switch when you push it. If you dont, then you have a bad switch, if you do then check at the cruise control to see if power is going there. If you have power at the cruise control modual then you probably have a bad modual.

QUESTION: I do have power at the switch. Could you tell me specifically "where" to check at the "cruise control"---where can I locate the cruise control modual? Thank you so much for your reply.

Answer
What youa re going to have to do is get a wiring diagram to follow. Your cruise control receives information from different sensers on the bike, so what you will have to do is start tracing out the wires to find any break damaged wire in the cruise control harness.
The cruise control is located under the left cover of the bike.
