Ford Repair: brake lights stay on, taurus gl, brake light switch

95 taurus gl, 3.0, anti-lock brakes,I replaced the brake light switch and had to remove it couple of times to get the lights to go off. My daughter just called and said they came back on. Am I missinng something or is there an adjustment to fix it? thank you for your help.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Are you talking about the sensor in the bottom of the master cylinder? That should be pretty straight forward. Have your daughter check the fluid level and make sure the emergency brake is not applied.
