Ford Repair: F-150 starts hard on humid mornings, humidity conditions, high humidity

Question
I have an '83 F-150 with a 5.0L 302 standard.  I've always had trouble getting it started in high humidity conditions.  Since I recently moved to Florida though, it's no longer something I can ignore.  It turns over great but just won't catch.  I suspect condensation in the alternator but I'm at a loss how to correct that.  Do you have any suggestions or possibly other ideas where the problem might be?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I think you are heading the wrong direction. Your alternator won't cause a no start condition....unless it isn't charging and then it would be a charging system problem. I would suggest that you take a look at the tune up condition of the vehicle.......especially the cap and rotor as well as the ignition wires.
Hope this helps,
Erik
