Ford Repair: 91 mustang wont start, amp alternator, battery cables

Question
Hi! my battery light came on in my '91 5sp 4cyl  stang lx. i had the alternator tested. it was bad.i replaced the alternator the part store asked what amp alternator, 75 or 80. i had no clue.he gave me a 75. a friend replaced it, & then the car wouldn't start. it made a clicking sound. so we replaced the battery and the solinoid. it started last night and ran fine. but this morning it wont start again, making that clicking noise when you try to start it.the belts are tight and new. could it be the starter?regulator? something else? any feedback would be great!thank you

i would check the battery cables.even if they look good most times there bad.with sombody trying to start the car have sombody touch the cables and see if they are warm.(dont try to start while somone is touching the cables)i would also check the cable from the solinoid to starter as they go bad quite often from engine heat.make sure all connections are tight and no corrision.the only other thing to check is the voltage regulator.hope this helps.
