Ford Repair: Electrical, door latch, ford f150

2003 Ford F150 Super Crew, v8 Automatic  -  -
Hi Erik, thanks for taking my question:
Intermittantly, the door open lite on the dash stays on as well as the auto door locks don't lock and the dome light & outside light stay on
while driving as well as when the vehicle is not running.  Several times yesterday the lights stayed on at least 30 minutes after I had parked.
Is there anything I can do, or do I have to take it in to a shop?  Thanks again  -  Dave

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 What I would suggest you do is spray the door latch down with brake cleaner. Then apply a lubricant/penetrant. Other than that .....you'll have to bring it to a shop for replacement of the switch that is in the door latch.
