Ford Repair: 2001 Taurus Heater Core, diy project, heater core

How difficult is the removal and replacement of the heater core in the 2001 Taurus.  Is this an easy DIY project with no special tools required, or something more suited to a qualified shop?

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 This is something I would suggest that you have a shop do. The whole dash board has to be removed and the AC has to be evacuated and recharged. The whole process is about a 8-10 hour job...........plus parts!
