Ford Repair: a 1987 ford bronco, fuel pressure regulator, ford bronco

i have a problem. seams like no one has a answer to, my bronco when its started it ideals up like  it should. but when it starts to ideal down it starts missing and if u give it gas around 2 grand and hold it steady after a few secondes it will clear up. it smokes the hole time its missing, and sputtering its fuel smoke i replaced the fuel pressure regulator,fuel pump ,fuel filter . if u have an information please help.              thank yon,faron morris

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 First......are you absolutely sure that it is smoke from running too rich and not a coolant leak internal to the engine?
 What I woiuld suggest you do is pressure check the cooling system and also put a gage on the fuel system. Also, check the return line to make sure that it is not kinked or blocked.....this will cause high fuel pressure.
I would also suggest that you scan the computer system for fault codes.
