Ford Repair: Coil Life, hook up, 1995 ford explorer

Question
I have a 1995 Ford Explorer with 150,000 miles on it. It does not start at the moment. I guess that it it either the fuel pump or the ignition coil. I probably will have to replace both soon.
With out going through a lot of diagnostics, what would be the most common failure at this millage?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I don't guess at things, sorry. I would suggest that you check the spark by removing a ignition wire from the coil and crank the engine over....see if there is a spark. Next, hook up a fuel gage and check the fuel pressure.
Hope this helps,
Erik
