Ford Repair: 1999 Taurus transmission leak, pan gasket, seal side

Question
Hello My 1999 Taurus SE  with 105K 3.0 Automatic  will pump out 5 quarts of tranny fluid after about an 80 mile drive.  Towed it home cleaned it up refilled fluid.  Put it on a lift let run.  No leak.   Drove for another 300 miles, no problem, then it let go again, all the fluid pumped out after an 80 mile drive.   Any ideas?

Thanks
Ralph

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
You really need to identify where the fluid is leaking from. There are several places that it can. Axle seals, Front pump seal, Side pan gasket, bottom pan gasket. Put it back on the list, start it and put it in gear---it's gotta be leaking some where.
Hope this helps,
Erik
