Ford Repair: Brake lights, ford contour, ford dealership

Question
I have a 1996 Ford Contour 4 cylinder.
Last year I was told I needed a part that goes in the brakes to make my brake lights work..

Well this year i am having the same problem my brake lighs are not working. the only one work is the one in the window.

the Ford dealership is saying if it was fixed last year i should need that part again.

What do you think i need?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Before going to a garage, check to make sure that the bulbs in your tail lights are not blown........replace the bulbs. The fact that the high mount brake light is working says that the electrical signal is getting to the brake lights.
Hope this helps,
Erik
