Ford Repair: 1993 Ford Explorer gear shift trouble, drive ford, store charges

Question
I have a 1993 standard transmission 2- door 4-wheel drive Ford Explorer. What would stop it from driving when I put it into gear? What should I be looking for? What should I replace? How much can I expect to pay to have this problem repaired? Is this something I can do by myself?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I would start looking at the clutch and or slave cylinder for the clutch.
The time lists out at: 7.8 hrs
As far as parts go, I couldn't say. It is up to the mechanic and what the parts store charges him.
Hope this helps,
Erik
