Ford Repair: 95 F-150 no fire, spark plug wire, cam shaft

Question
I asked a question the other day about a '95 F-150 4.9 6 that wasn't getting a spark at the plugs. I checked for a charge on both sides of the E-coil like you said and did have a charge at both. I have new plugs, distributor cap and rotor, the ignition module tested fine. Can I check the pick up coil, and if so how exactly? Also can I check to see if the distributor cap is actually sending a charge out of the terminals on top? Maybe new plug wires?
Thanks Clint

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Have a person crank the engine, like they were starting it, while a spark plug wire is off of the cap..... you should see sparks jumping from the cap tower.
Also, check to see that the rotor IS actually truning, and that the cam shaft hasn't snapped. Crank the engine over with the dist. cap off, and see that the rotor IS turning.
Hope this helps,
Erik
