Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): craftman tractor mower, head gasket leak, crankcase oil

Question
I recently had my lawnmover catch fire in the motor, Have you ever heard of this happen before?

Answer
Hello Donna:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. Yes I have. If the Crankcase Oil Becomes Contaminated with Gas and the Engine has a Slight Head Gasket Leak and the Condition are Right, then the Crankcase Oil/Gas Mixture will Ignite. Also, if the Carburetor Solenoid Heats Up too Much it can Cause a Fire. It is Rare for this to Happen, but it Does. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
