Ford Repair: quits running, thick film ignition, pip

Question
I HAVE A 92 TEMPO THAT RUNS FINE TILL IT GETS WARMED UP. THEN IT KIND OF SPUTTERS AND DIES, WON'T START AGAIN TILL IT COOLS DOWN. CAR WAS GIVEN TO ME BECAUSE OF THE ABOVE PROBLEM AND THEY DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY FIXING IT.

     ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

   THANKS

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
This repair will cost you about 100.00.
It sounds like the TFI (thick film ignition) module and PIP(profile ignition pickup) should be replaced. They are located on(TFI) and in(PIP) the distributor. They are the most likely cause of your problem.
You will need to remove and rebuild the distributor.
Hope this helps,
Erik
