Ford Repair: new motor, speed tranny, autozone

I have a 1999 mustang with a bad 3.8 and a 5 speed tranny. Should I take out the tranny to change the motor

Hello and thanks for the question....I'll try to help.
If you can cut and paste this:

you should be able to use this as a guide, I know this is for a 98-- not 99 (but it should be close IF not the same. I've never had to remove a transmission and engine as an asymbly.
