Ford Repair: cv joints, cv joints, constant velocity

Question
i was just wondering what exactly is a cv joint? what does it do? is it important to have? and if it needs to be replaced, how much does one of them cost?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question.....I'll try to help.
A C.V. joint is a constant velocity joint. It allows the axle or drive shaft to remain in motion through out different angles. As far as cost-it is all dependant on application and labor.
Hope this helps,
Erik
