Ford Repair: 93 Explorer, explorer eddie bauer, wont move

I have a 93' Explorer Eddie Bauer editon with an automatic transmission, Yesterday I drove it with no problems in the morning, but when I got back in it and tried to leave, it wont shift out of park, it seems like It almost wants to shift from park to reverse, but cant,I dont even know where to start with this, it just wont move.

Hello and thanks for the question... I'll try to help.
 First, start the vehicle and have another person sit in side with the E-Brake ON and also the normal service brake applied. Then, from under the vehicle, remove the shift cable from the transmission. Then, BEING CAREFUL, shift it out of Park, or at least try to. If the transmission shifts, the problem is in the column or cable, IF not, it is internal in the transmission.
