does the rear brake caliper screw in for replacing the pads on my 2002 mustang ?

  Yes, the rear calipers on all '94-present Mustangs have screw-in calipers.  You can usually get them in with regular hand tools, but most auto parts stores sell a small ratchet attachment that makes the job easier.  It usually runs between $5-$10.  Hope this helps.
