Ford Repair: abs light, abs sensor, abs computer

Question
my abs light came on my brakes are awsome so would it be a sensor and is that only something a mechanic can fix also will it be costly?

Answer
Hi Josh,
I wish I knew what year and model of car/truck you own, but the only way to tell for sure is to have your mechanic "pull the code" from the ABS computer. It is usually the rear ABS sensor. It is located in the center of the rear end. It has 1 bolt holding it in and costs about $40.00. Try replacing that first, if it doesn't fix the light, take it to your mechanic to pull the code.
