Ford Repair: Engine, wheel drive cars, wheel drive car

Question
I have a 2002 Ford Taurus V6 3.0 SOHC 12V SE edition....Ive been wondering if a 2005 Mustang (regular or GT) engine would be able to fit my car...if so which one...or are the Mustang and Taurus engines the same?? Ive been told they were...but could you help me out?? Thanks.

  The Mustang motors are designed for rear wheel drive cars so they won't fit into a front wheel drive car without some SERIOUS modification and fabrication.  It could probably be done, but it would cost a small fortune.  Hope this helps.
