Ford Repair: Replace Tailgate Handle, pamela pamela, nuts bolts

I know you said can answer most questions about Fords, years 1964 to 1974.  Do you know someone that can answer a question on a 1992 Ford 150 Flareside?  My tailgate handle broke.  Took panel off, and noticed I needed to replace it.  I have the part.  I am trying to find instructions on how to take old one out to put new one in.  Thanks, Pamela

Lower your tailgate and you should see about 8 screws that have a star head on them, so you will need a special screwdriver/socket to remove them. Once you remove that panel, you will see 2 nuts/bolts to remove your handle. Pay attention to how it comes apart because when you pop out the arms that move the rods and you do not put them back EXACTLY the way they were, your tailgate will not open.
