Ford Repair: replacement of bronco motor, lincoln town car, ford bronco

Question
I have a 1985 Ford Bronco with a 302 EFI.  I found a motor out of a 1990 Lincoln town car HO 302. I want to make it as simple as possible.  Can I use all the hardware off my existing bronco, will it work and what kind of problems might I encounter.  thank you

Answer
David-

Sure...if you've already got a 302, this is a fairly straight-forward swap.  You might consider trying to get the computer from the Lincoln since the wiring harnesses may differ...unless you plan on simply swapping all of the electronics and sensors from your Bronco back onto the car in which case you should be just fine.  You'll most likely need to re-use all of the Bronco's intake track as well if that's the case.  The only thing you'll really need to change is the oil pan.  The Bronco oil pan should fit fine on the Lincoln 302, but the Lincoln oil pan most likely won't work in the Bronco.  Aside from those issues it should be a very simple swap.  Hope this helps.
