Ford Repair: abs/GEM sensors, gem sensors, speed sensors

My ABS light keeps coming on and off in my 1998 Expedition... In my Haynes nothing to address that issues. Any ideas... Also I replaced my electric shift motor for my 4wheel drive but it still is not working.. do you know where the GEM/and sensors are located in the transfer case and could that be why the 4 wheel drive is still not working? thank you ,

Hi Amy,
The only way to find out why the ABS light is on is to take it to your mechanic and have him "pull the codes" from the ABS computer. It's usually one of the speed sensors. Get that fixed and it might take care of your 4X4 problem. GOOD LUCK!
