Ford Repair: Service Engine Soon, ford expedition xlt, change of weather

Question
Dear Mr. Bond,

We have a 2000 Ford Expedition XLT with 75K miles. When we first purchased the SUV 15K miles ago, the Service Engine Soon light came on. After it was serviced by the original dealer, the malfunctioning coil was replaced. That was in April. The service light is on again just yesterday. We keep only the best gas in the tank and care and maintain the SUV as if it is a family member. I told my husband that it could probably be the sudden change of weather since we do not have a garage in which perhaps a gas line may have frozen. The high last night was only 13 degrees. Perhaps it could be a sensor problem. What checklists should we perform prior to taking the SUV to the repair shop?

Answer
There isnt really any check lists to perform. You do have a sensor problem, and service is needed. If your fuel line did freeze, the vehicle wouldnt stay running. All week we are experiencing 25, to 30 below weather here. Our garage is full of repairs to perform.. Ty..
