Ford Repair: ABS, abs light, rear abs

Question
Hi, I have a Ford F150 1999 4X4 Sport 1019 K miles. The ABS light came on and it seems like the rear brake s don't operate well. I Just replaced all the pads and inspected the ABS wiring is there a test that I can do to check the sensor or should I just replace all of them?  Also the Air Bag light comes on and off.

Answer
Hi Robert,
The ABS light does not have anything to do with the operation of the mechanical side of the brakes. You need to take it to your mechanic and have him "pull the codes" from the ABS computer (they can also pull the codes for your air bag light). Most of the time it's the rear ABS sensor, located in the top of the rear axle housing. It's the cheapest part, about $30.
