Ford Repair: heating, blower motor resistor, 2001 ford windstar

Question
The heater on my 2001 Ford Windstar stopped working.  I checked the fuses but they are all OK.  What else could it be?  Thank you.

Answer
I think you mean that your Blower Motor is not working.  You could have a bad Blower Motor Switch or Knob, Blower Motor Resistor, Blower Motor Relay, or a wiring problem.  A common problem is that the Blower Motor Control Knob cracks where it connects to the switch.  Pull the knob straight off of the switch and check it, if it is cracked, it is about $6 to replace.  The second most common problem is a bad Blower Motor.  You would want to test the Blower Motor before replacing it, if there is power and a good ground, the motor is bad.

I hope this helps,
