RV Repair: new 12v wiring, exhaust vent, fuse panel

Question
We have an older travel trailer with a fan vent in the bath that runs on 110 AC.  We would like to replace it with a 12v exhaust vent as we mostly do dry camping.  Also would like to replace the range hood for same reason.  Have done quite a bit of home wiring projects, but never in the RV.  Where would I run the wires from?  It seems like I couldn't just fish them through the walls or ceiling as at home.  Would it just be easier to buy an inverter?  Thanks for your reply.

Answer
Tami,
If you have 12 volt ceiling lights they can be a good place to get power from, if not you will probably need to come from your converter or fuse panel.  You should be able to fish wires vertically in the walls, like from under the stove up to behind the range vent.  The bath could be a little trickier.  You may be able to use the existing wiring if you can locate its origins and isolate it without losing something else that may be on the same circuit.  I hope this helps, good luck and happy camping.
