Ford Repair: 1993 Ford Escort-losing power, fuel pressure gauge, ford escort lx

Question
I have a 1993 Ford Escort LX station wagon. When I start the car up to drive, I have to press the gas pedal to the floor. I am losing power when the car is warm. When the car is cold, it drives just fine. I can't go up any hills or drive for long periods of time. I did a tune-up already. I did that not even two weeks ago. The car lost power before I even did the tune-up on it. Do you know of anything that could be wrong or even any suggestions would help me? Please e-mail me.

There are many components that could cause your concern.  Based on the temperature issue, I would look to the fuel system, specifically at the fuel pump, not providing proper pressure once warm.  You can test this by attaching a fuel pressure gauge to the service port and duct taping the gauge to the windshield.  Watch the fuel pressure as you lose power.
