Ford Repair: O2 Sensor fabracation..., oxygen sensors, applacation

Question
i have a 1990 ford ltd crown vic with a 5.0 302 under the hood.  I took all the exaust off yesterday  to put headers on, and after the chore had already began i reolized the sensors i toke off were kinda important... so know im trying to figure out the best way to add them into my applacation, seeing as the headers i have dont have a place for them.  I know placment is important so any advice would be great!  But on the other hand i was wondering if i could run the wires into a pot or some kind of circuit that would bypass them, but seeing as how the temp always changes im not sure if its doable.  The spark plugs were wet with gas when i removed them, so im sure they're in need of replacment, but im doing this project bottom dollar so...   Can they be cleaned... prior to yesterday i had just the stock setup without the muffler... just cats. Any and All advice would be VERY HELPFUL! thanks .. Ian...........

Answer
You can weld a special nut onto your header collector to mount the oxygen sensors. You could also buy an electronic bypass that fools the computer into thinking that the sensors are installed.  I have seen them online for about $100.

If the Spark Plugs are not worn or damaged, and just wet with fuel, they can be cleaned and reinstalled.

I hope this helps,
