Ford Repair: antifreeze leak and air suspension, antifreeze leak, air shock

Question
Hello,

I have an Eddie Bauer expedition 2000 and have recently encountered two problems. 1. There is an antifreeze leak that is streaming out of the passeger side floor board area onto the ground. It looks like its coming out right around the fire wall. The carpet is barely damp. Is it the heater core and if so how difficult is it to swap it out. 2. The air springs in the back are not inflating correctly. The suspension light came on and went off a few times and now the rear end is very low to the ground. All of the fused are good in the cabin and the distribution block. When I disconnect the four pin power connecter to the air shock compressor I do not read any voltage between the red wire and ground with and without the vehicle running. I have also tried the air suspension switch inside the kick panel on the passenger side and there is no change in the height of the vehicle. Do you have any suggestions.  I am also thinking of changing the rear suspension to a stock coil spring and shock.

Thanks for your help,

Micah

Answer
Hello Micah, It does sound like a heater core is the problem, the dash has to be removed to replace the heater core. This is not an easy job to perform. On the air springs you could have several different parts that could be the cause. ride height switch, relay, compressor, wiring. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
