I would like to know where I can get instructions to replace a heater core on a 1988 taurus wagon

The best thing to do is buy a Haynes or Chiltons Service Manual from an auto parts store. They are less than $20 and can come in very handy.  Your local Library may have service manuals available to photocopy or use for free.  If you are planning to keep this vehicle for a while and make most repairs yourself, I would buy a used Factory Service Manual on eBay.
