Ford Repair: mustang codes, previous question, battery backup

In my previous question I forgot to ask how can I clear the codes and turn off the check engine light if I make a repair?

  It's really pretty easy.  All you have to do is unhook the battery then leave the key in the "accessory on" position.  Leave it for about 10-15 minutes and then hook the battery backup.  You'll have to reset your radio and clock, but it's a small price to pay.  Hope this helps.
