dave  we ran our 5 speed manual trans dry any thing i can do besides replacing trans thanks jack

You could remove the Transmission and disassamble it, inspecting the bearings and synchronizers.  They would have likely overheated.  If the gears have been damaged, it wouldn't be cost effective to rebuild.  I would replace the trans with a used unit.  Most salvage yards are part of a national network and can locate one and have it shipped.
