Ford Repair: spark plug wires, sparkplugs, plug wires

How do you get the spark plug wires off the sparkplugs? Do you need a tool?

  Usually you can get them off with a firm but steady pulling motion...depending on the engine and location of the plugs.  There is a tool made for removing the spark plug boot (the part that covers the plug) and it does save a little time, but to my knowledge it won't work on overhead cam motors that have the spark plugs situated down in the cam cover.  Hope this helps.
