Steering Column Repair: how to bypass anti theft on a 1992 bonnville, tumbler, crank

i have a 1992 bonnville with the vats system.sometimes it wont crank over. the wires are broke in the tumbler. i was wondering how to by pass that.it has the chip in the key.thanks
