Ford Repair: DASHBOARD LIGHTS, mustang mach 1, dashboard lights

Question
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 1972 MUSTANG MACH 1. ALL LIGHTS ARE WORKING, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS WHICH ARE ON, BUT VERY DIM. WHAT SHOULD I CHECK FIRST?

Did you try turning the knob to your headlights to see if this helped? Other than that, the biggest problem is that the car is old and dirty. you would need to pull it apart and clean all bulbs and lenses of dirt. Remember, they were never very bright to begin with. You can not compare the brightness of the dash lights in 1972 to the brightness of dash lights in todays vehicles. Good luck.
