Ford Repair: Parking brake handle, ford taurus, 1996 ford taurus

Is there any way to release the parking brake without using the handle? The parking brake handle on my 1996 Ford Taurus is broken, and I accidentally turned on the parking brake.

hey there,
If there handle is broken than there should still be a steel cable leading to the park brake ratcheting system., if you can locate this cable, you can use a pair of pliers to pull the cable and release the parking brake, If you cant do this then your other option is to get under the car and cut the park brake cable, this would be just to get it mobile, let me know what happens, good luck
