Ford Repair: cold air intake, ford ranger xlt, cold air intake

i have a 2000 ford ranger XLT 4x4 3.0 V6  and i dont get the gas mileage i would like so i just ordered a mac cold air intake i was wondering will that give me any better gas mileage? i knwo it will do better for my HP. just wondering if you would know. thanx

  The jury's still out on the fuel economy improvement.  In theory it should give you better mileage, but I've seen mixed results ranging from no increase to a moderate increase.  I think it's mostly dependent on the individual car.  But it should up your horsepower by about 5-10hp or so.  Anything that boosts power a bit can't be all bad.  Hope this helps.
