Ford Repair: engine conversion, engine conversion, tachometer

Question
Do you know if it is greatly difficult to convert a 1999 v6 Mustang to a GT v8 mustang?  What changes have to be made?

Answer
Courtney-

Great difficulty?  Maybe.  Certainly moderately difficult and time consuming.  You'll need to change out the K-member (or engine brace), the computer and all associated wiring (biggest pain), possibly the transmission depending on which type you have, make some minor modifications like to the tachometer if you have one, etc.  In other words it's not even remotely as easy as it was when I was a kid doing things like this in my driveway (which admittedly was only about 6 years ago at age 16).  I'd encourage you to do such a swap, but if you aren't pretty mechanically inclined I would leave it to a shop to do.  Hope this helps.
