Ford Repair: 94 and 93 mustang engine swap, mustang engine, mechanical knowledge

Question
I have a '93 Mustang, but the 4-cylinder engine is dying on me. A friend of mine has a spare '94 Mustang 3.8L V-6 engine she'll sell me. What I want to know is if it's feasible to fit the '94 engine into the '93, and if it wouldn't take too much, what I'd need to change to make it work. Thank you.

It's possible but quite a few things would need to be changed.  Since some Mustangs of that era came with 3.8L V6s, all you'd need to do is find a 3.8L motor brace (also called a K-member) and mounts to fit it in.  I'm not sure about the compatibility of the transmissions so you'll probably want to get that with the engine along with the transmission mounts.  Then comes the hard part.  There will need to be some fairly extensive wiring changes made to make the V6 run in place of the inline 4.  You'll need to take a bunch of parts off of the V6 car, like the computer and the entire wiring harness (which, believe me, is a complete pain) and most of if not all of the ignition stuff.  My guess is that you'll also need to upgrade the fuel system a little to supply the 3.8L with adequate fuel.  If you've never done an engine swap before, I know this sounds overwhelming and if you don't have moderate mechanical knowledge and skills I would probably leave this to a shop...unless this isn't a daily driver and you're feeling adventurous.  Hope this helps.
