Hyundai Repair: 2001 Hyundai Elantra, transmission control module tcm, transmission control module

My 2001 has an error code of 1529.  When the transmission shifts it bumps and the check engine light comes on.  I can't find this error code in any of the books I have.  Any help would be appreciated

P1529 means the transmission control module (TCM) has requested that the engine control module (ECM) turn on the check engine lamp.  To find out why, you'll need to check the codes in the TCM to see what the fault was.  Typically, it's an input or output speed sensor.
