I have a steady engine lite on & no one has solved the problem. Any help or hints you can give me as to whats wrong . Would be a blessing  Thank you in advance .M.V.P.

  The only way to get rid of a check engine light (formally known as a MIL...malfunction indicator lamp) is to have someone with a diagnostic scanner check for trouble codes stored in your computer.  You can clear the codes without any work being done, but generally the light just comes right back on shortly after.  Some parts stores will scan the computer for free...I believe Autozone does this and others may as well.  At a dealership or independent shop, expect to pay around $60 for the same service.  A check engine light can mean any one of litterally a thousand things, so a scanner is really the only way to get to the bottom of it properly.  Hope this helps.
