Ford Repair: Shift Column Collar, ford maverick, shifting gears

Question
I have a 1972 Ford Maverick with 3 spd transmission and 70,000 plus miles. While shifting gears, the Shift Column Collar inside the steering column broke.  I searched "Parts Replacement" and they don't list this part. Do you have any suggestions how I can locate this part?
The casting number on the part is DCAA 7228 HW.
Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.

The best place to find that part is to go to a reputable salvage yard and get a used one. You can probably replace the entire column for under 100 bucks. I know of know place that sells just that part. Hope that this helps and good luck.
