Ford Repair: 1992 Ford Explorer starting issues, power brakes, ford explorer

Question
I went to start my 1992 Ford Explorer this morning and it turned over fine and then immediately died.  I can keep it running if I continually pump the gas, but if I allow it to idle it will immediately die.  I took it for a drive around the block and found that the brakes were affected, as they were no longer power brakes (and hard lesson to learn when approaching an intersection).  I am not sure if I have a fuel pump issue or what it might be... any thoughts?

Thanks for the help!

Answer
its probably a throtle position problem, or a leaking intake gasket thats causing your trouble.  Your brakes are not working because your engine is not developing enough vacume to operate the booster.  You will probably have to take it to a shop to have it repaired unless you are very familiar with working on cars.
