Ford Repair: vintage engine repair, experimental aircraft association, eaa chapter

Question
Hi, do you know someone who might be able to help me repair a leaking oil pan on a vintage Ford (1923)?

Thanks in advance in either case.

Tony

Answer
Tony-

I don't know of anyone in particular, but I think if you can track down the part(s) to do it you could probably find a shop in your area willing to do the work.  Also (this may sound strange, but stick with me here), see if there's an EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) chapter in your area.  I know it sounds weird, but those guys deal with a ton of old (Model A and T, usually) engines and if they can't help you out they'll probably know someone who can.  My father was a member of the local EAA chapter and always had people willing to help when he built his Model T motor.  If anyone knows where to get your stuff fixed in your area, those guys would.  Hope this helps.
