Ford Repair: Cruise Control did not work, ford taurus, auto repair shop

Hi,
I have a 95 Ford Taurus with 66K miles on it and in great shape. Recently, the cruise control did not work. Where and what do I check first to find out the cause(s)?

I must start this out: BECAUSE YOUR VEHICLE IS MOST LIKELY EQUIPPED WITH AN AIR BAG-IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ATTEMPT ACCESS THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCHES. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO A QUALIFIED AUTOMOTIVE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT OR OTHER QUALIFIED REPAIR SHOP.

Because of the air bag and the complexity of the whole procedure, unless your vehicle has no air bag, I can not give you any help except to tell you to take it to your dealer or auto repair shop.
