Ford Repair: wheel hop, rear shocks, mustang gt

Question
I HAVE A 1989 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE AND WHEN YOU SPIN THE TIRE AT ALL THE REAR END BOUNCES (WHEEL HOP)! SO I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE QUAD SHOCK, AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE REGULAR SHOCK. SO CAN YOU ANSWER THIS FOR ME? THANKS

Answer
Daryl-

Well, either could be the culprit.  The quad shock's job is to control wheel hop and lateral axle movement.  The regular rear shocks will do this to a much lesser extent, but that's pretty much all the quad shocks do.  I'd go ahead and replace the quads.  Hope this helps.
