Ford Repair: 351 W 8 cylinder, head gasket problems, head gaskets

Question
I have a 351 W ( 1979 ?? ) short block and I would like to use 351 C heads from 1975 Ford production.  What head gasket problems could exist? Can we use 351 c head gaskets on the 351 w block.?  Looks  like the 351 W used a valley pan and the 351 C used  intake to head Kormetal gaskets.  What is the correct way to go??
How about push rod length concerns, with C heads on the W 351 block.??  I have a 302 v8 in the 1973 Mustang with the C4   We will put a c6 against the 351w.   I have more questions in the next request.  Hey, thanks for sharing your knowledge.  The new guys on the block don't know the great amount knowledge that is obtainable out on the web.  My shade tree days was just that only a tree for advice.   Thanks

Answer
Robert,

Yes, you can use the 351c head on the 351w. I would go with the 351c gaskets. There are no push rod concerns as they both have the same bore and stroke. Sorry that it took so long to answer your question as I was experiencing technical difficulties with my ISP. Hope that this info helps you and if you need further help, please do not hesitate to ask. Good luck.
