Ford Repair: 1994 ford explorer, sensers, emission system

Question
my 1994 explorer has been leaving me set a great deal lately. it starts fine and it runs fine but after you make a couple of stops it won't start back up. after it sets for awhile it starts fine again. there's no patttern. it might start fine for a week or two. it might happen two or three times a day. we had a new fuel pump put on but, that has'nt made a differance. you just really never know when its going to leave you set.it might start a few minutes later or it might be hours before it while start again. please help!

Answer
TRISHA

it could be alot of things.check idle speed control, fuel filter, fuel injecter sensors, vaccum leaks at the throttle body, intake manifold and hoses.check the distributer components, faulty emission system(egr)just to name a few.your best bet is to have the car put on a scan tool to find the problem.with all of the computer sensers in cars today what i said is just a guess.hope this helps .
