Ford Repair: shake in front end, lower ball joints, power steering fluid

i own a 1996 ford explorer and when i turn the steering wheel it has a shake in the front end i just hade the lower ball joints replaced in it do you konw what could cause this problem it even does it when its in 4 wheel drive too any help would be helpful            thanks

Hi Delbert,
If you have been driving the vehicle the last 2 days, then it's probably gone by now. Any time the wheels are turned without the engine running air gets into the power steering system. It probably happened while they were changing the ball joints. Check the power steering fluid level and it should eventually work all the air out by normal driving. If not you may need the front end aligned.
